Laser Rejuvenation
Laser resurfacing may be used to treat wrinkles, scars from acne and
chicken pox, and blemishes caused by aging or sun exposure. In this
procedure, a laser is used to destroy flawed skin cells, which are
then replaced naturally by new skin cells. The laser allows for
precise control of the treatment. Laser resurfacing usually takes 30
to 60 minutes to perform. Our specialized cooling therapy ensures
that most patients do not experience pain during the procedure.
Immediately following laser resurfacing, risks include redness,
crusting, swelling, or oozing. Patients should avoid the sun
while healing and use sun block after the recovery period (generally
about 3 months).
